Gavin Michael Walsh
Special Agent, Federal Bureau of Investigation
TRAST Regional Task Force for the Victoria Texas Police Department
Special Agent Walsh has recently accepted responsibility for managing the newly developed TRAST (Terror Risk Assessment/Strategic Training) Task Force for the FBI in and the Department of Homeland Security with the Victoria Texas Police Department. He is deputized by the State of Texas and the Victoria Police Department as a bona-fide police officer. He currently holds the rank of Lieutenant within the City of Victoria’s Police Department.
Currently, Lt. Walsh is overseeing the restructuring of VPD Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Unit in order to update the team’s tactical skills. Special Agent Walsh has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Virginia. He retired as a Senior Chief Boatswain’s Mate from the United States Navy and entered into the FBI Academy two months after his retirement . He served sixteen years as a Navy SEAL and is the receipt of numerous awards and decoration for Operations Just Cause, Desert Storm, Restore Hope, and Enduring Freedom.
The Victoria Police Department welcomes Special Agent Walsh as a new member of SWAT.
Dr. Amy Reyes-Livingston
Director, Library System for the City of Victoria
Dr. Livingston was appointed by the Victoria City Council to manage and direct the City of Victoria’s library system in 2002. She is responsible for the budget, inventory, assets, and all of the employees of Victoria’s library system. Amy is a native Victorian who graduated valedictorian of her class at Victoria South High School. She went on to attend Syracuse University in New York where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in American Literature. While at Syracuse, she obtained dual Masters of Arts degrees in Literature and Library Science. Amy applied for and was accepted as a professor of American Literature at the University of Texas at Austin where she taught for four years. During her tenure as a professor at UT Austin, she obtained her Doctorate of Literature. Her PhD thesis “A Critical Observation of Walden” has become required reading for advance classes of American Literature within the University of Texas system.
